Run clubs in Paris: where to run with a group in 2026

By the Cadencer team · updated

In short

Most social run clubs in Paris are free and open to every level: you just show up at the meeting point at the time posted on their Instagram or Strava, no membership needed. The best known are Paname Run Club (the biggest, free runs, DJ set on Tuesdays), Circle Run Club (Tuesdays at 7 pm, 10th arrondissement), Hoka Run Club (Mondays and Wednesdays at 7 pm, Marais and Opéra) and Kiin (Wednesdays at 7 pm and Sundays at 9 am, 4th). Runs are mostly in French but newcomers are welcome; for an English-speaking crowd, the Paris Hash House Harriers run every other Saturday.

Three kinds of run clubs

Paris run clubs fall into three groups, and they feel very different. Knowing which one you want saves you a few awkward Tuesday evenings.

  1. 1

    Social run clubs

Free, no annual sign-up, a 5 to 10 km run at an easy pace, and usually a drink or a coffee afterwards. The best way to make friends in a new city. Examples: Paname Run Club, Kiin.

  2. 2

    Brand run clubs

Run by a running shop or brand, starting from the store, with pace groups and sometimes a coached warm-up. Examples: Circle, Hoka.

  3. 3

    Associative clubs

Yearly membership, coaches, training plans and track sessions. The right choice if you are training for a half marathon, a marathon or a trail race. Examples: PUC Running, Team Trail Paris.

What really matters: a time slot you can make every week, a start close to home or work, and pace groups. A club with two or three paces means you will never be left alone at the back.

Do you need to speak French?

Not really. Most Paris run clubs brief in French, but the vocabulary is short (allure means pace, fractionné means intervals, échauffement means warm-up) and you will usually find someone happy to switch to English. Introduce yourself to the organiser when you arrive: they will place you in the right pace group. If you want a mostly English-speaking group from the first run, the Paris Hash House Harriers are the classic option.

Run clubs and dating

Social run clubs have quietly become one of the best places to meet someone. Strava's 2025 report says the number of new running clubs on the app grew 3.5 times in a year, and one in five Gen Z respondents said they had been on a date with someone they met at a running club (Xataka, Endurance Sportswire).

The Cadencer Run Club says it out loud: group runs for single people who like sport, at a chatty pace, with spots split half women, half men. You sign up in the Cadencer app (available in English), run together, and afterwards you can like the people you ran with. If it is mutual, it is a match.
